Golden Globes 2012: Our Two Cents

The day has come where tv stars run into movie stars and vice versa. It’s the Golden Globes! Will Angelina Jolie accost Joel McHale at the bar and talk about how awesome Community is? Will Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig run into Glenn Close and Sandra Bullock in the women’s room? Men’s room?

Jen and I add our scientific two cents of who should win, who we want to win and who we don’t care for. Read on!

BEST MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA
Jen chooses The Descendants as she really liked it and well, it was the only movie she watched on the list.
Chris chooses The Help, not because she watched it or read the book, but because it’s the only female-driven movie on the list.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA
Jen chooses George Clooney for The Descendants.
Chris hasn’t seen any of these movies but the thought of Michael Fassbender (Shame) naked has her voting for Magneto.

Did you catch the first episode of the new series Revenge last week? I thought it was great. The pilot episode really set up the story… and the second episode makes it more intriguing. As we learned last week, Emily is getting Revenge on those from her past who set her father up as a murderer and ruined her childhood. This week she has another target. As Emily sets her sights on this unsuspecting individual she enlists the help of another character, which lets us learn more about them. Victoria tries to get the dirt of Emily and her past. Declan Porter, played Connor Paolo (who was the one person I liked when I stopped watching Gossip Girl), is still trying to woo the girl of dreams. This episode solidified Revenge on my weekly schedule.
